Joe Biden’s Speech

Biden emerged from his vacation to give a speech on Afghanistan.

I just finished watching it.

It was Biden in a nutshell. Petulant, clueless, rambling, pompous, and out-of-touch. As has become typical of the Biden presidency, he seemed personally offended that any of us had any doubts in his policies. He gave a speech about why he withdrew, as if the withdrawal was what people disagreed with. Almost everyone agreed that it was time to get out of Afghanistan. The reason people are upset is because we’ve left in such a disorganized and haphazard manner that we’ve abandoned the Afghans who helped us out and that there are currently American citizens still stranded in the country. That Biden didn’t seem to get that seems to suggest that his main concern was getting the credit for ending an unpopular war. The rest of it, he doesn’t seem to be concerned with.

It was one of the worst Presidential speeches I’ve ever heard and rest assured, I lived through the Trump years so I’ve heard some bad ones.

Biden left without answering any questions, despite previously saying that he would accept questions from pre-selected reporters. Perhaps he looked at the questions and decided that they weren’t to his liking.

For as long as I’ve been alive, Biden has had a reputation for being a pompous jackass. It was only when he was running against Trump that we suddenly started to hear that he was actually a compassionate statesmen.

Today, he proved that he was just who they used to say he was.
